From MRCC Brixham to Culdrose y VHF Ch 0 at 0900.
Request helo assistance to search for man overboard from Danish MV ANNELISE THOLSTRUP.
Position 49 deg 57N 03 deg 47W
Narrative
Rescue 27 proceeded to datum and joined by a Seaking (Rescue 86) from RFA Engadine and a Wasp from HMS Brighton.
Rescue 27 searched along the ship’s track for 10 miles, in half mile sweeps to the south, allowing for tidal drift.
Rescue 86 carried out mirror search to the north of track. Nothing found.
Rescue 27 took fuel from RFA Engadine at 1100 and esumed search.
Several objects investigated. Search called off at 1200 as man had been missing for over 4 hours,
dressed in trousers and shirt with no life jacket. Water temp 9 degrees. No chance of survival.
